Hi!

I’m Martina Fiorito

and I am a food designer. I do research, develop concepts and ideas, and use creativity in order to give life to new perspectives about food interaction and perception.

About

 Working with food, design and creativity aims to create projects expressed as multisensory experiences,

exhibitions, performances, events or other artistic forms. Imagination doesn’t have limits.

I am strongly fascinated by all the possible futures that might await us, reason why, I also create speculative scenarios and design practical visions of potential futuristic worlds.

 

Being a food designer means for me, to carry a responsibility: food is a powerful tool which concerns everything and everyone; it is deeply entangled with the reality and with us, in fact it enters our bodies and becomes part of ourselves. In my job I use food as a medium to convey messages, raise questions and awareness about fundamental issues, to narrate stories, create connections and stimulate emotions.

 

When eating, we interact and develop reciprocal relationships with it. Using interaction as the key element, enables the user to be part of the project and provokes reactions. Interaction is an energy transfer through food, human and environment.
